    Is Opensim Dying or Evolving?

      It’s a question we’re all asking ourselves right now. We see grids closing. We hear all the whispers of doom. We wonder what the future holds for Opensim. We’ve been quiet at Nara’s Nook lately, but not because we depressed about the future. Summer is the time we work on our big projects with an aim to taking them public in the fall.     Metaverse Muses: The Oracle

    A common meme passed from writer to writer is that you can’t wait on inspiration to write. Supposedly, you must plant your butt in the chair and bang out drivel until something useful shows up on the page. I don’t see that either waiting for inspiration or pouring out pages of glop to find the good stuff is terribly efficient.  One is a static method of waiting on the muse and the other active.     Opensim on the Web for Storytelling

    Selkie Island Scene This is a gif from a scene I made back in May. What I want to do is build a scene that introduces a scene from The Selkie’s Tale novel I wrote. This one would be a mini hunt for a selkie’s pelt, because when you have the selkie’s skin, you own the selkie. I had managed to get the basic scene converted to mesh, add an avatar and the horse. I got the character moving forward and backward and had the animation controller running on the horse. All very buggy and a bald avatar. I even put up a webGL version from what I had made.…
