    Bringing Interactive Virtual Environments to the Kindle

      Don’t tell Mr Bezos but I hacked my Kindle so I could download apps from the Google Play store. I particularly wanted to be able to get a better browser. In answer to a user question as to whether the storytelling environment we are building would run in Chrome. This is Chrome running on a Kindle Fire HD 10. I believe the OS for that is a fork of Android 7 (Nougat). There is no navigation interface for mobile devices in our app yet. It is a goal.     Is Opensim Dying or Evolving?

      It’s a question we’re all asking ourselves right now. We see grids closing. We hear all the whispers of doom. We wonder what the future holds for Opensim. We’ve been quiet at Nara’s Nook lately, but not because we depressed about the future. Summer is the time we work on our big projects with an aim to taking them public in the fall.     Yarny Gets a Rescue!

    About a week or so ago I had a message in email that Yarny was closing down. Last night I got another message that Yarny had been rescued and would now be hosted on servers at Cook Center for Entrepenuership This is important because we use Yarny on our Inworld Laptops. In fact it is the only thing I know of now that lets me write for free from any device I have. In addition, Yarny is like a cloud version of Scrivner which is a favorite tool for novelists.
